Why uptown and not downtown
This is not an oversight. Paper Planes sells wholesale to small neighbourhood retailers rather than to chains, and in Manhattan those shops are uptown. Downtown, the brand runs its own store instead, the flagship at 252 Lafayette in SoHo.
So the borough splits cleanly and honestly. Uptown you buy from Harlem and Hamilton Heights. Downtown you buy from Paper Planes.

The two shops
Capsule is on West 125th itself. It runs an online storefront alongside the shop floor, which for an independent this size is unusual and means stock turns faster than it does at most neighbourhood retailers, you are more likely to find current season on the wall.
Premium Blue is further up Broadway at 145th, in Hamilton Heights, and stays open until 8:30. That is later than almost any shop in the brand's entire network, and it matters more than it sounds if you work a normal day.
