Privacy Policy
This policy covers Where To Buy Paper Planes (wheretobuypaperplanes.com), an independent store locator and shopping guide. This website is not operated by Paper Planes or Roc Nation; their privacy policies apply on their own websites, not here.
We run a directory. We do not sell anything, take payments, run accounts, or ask you to log in, so the data story here is short.
What is collected
Analytics (Mixpanel). This site uses Mixpanel to understand how the directory is used: pages viewed, searches typed into the store finder, and clicks on store phone numbers, direction links and outbound links to shops. Mixpanel's autocapture is enabled, and a sample of sessions, currently 10 percent, is recorded as session replay (what was scrolled and clicked, with typed input masked by the provider's defaults). Mixpanel sets cookies and similar identifiers to do this. Mixpanel's own handling of this data is described in its privacy documentation.
Google Analytics. Not currently enabled. If it is enabled in the future, it would collect standard pageview and event data and this page will be updated to say so.
Referral tags. Links out to shops and to the official Paper Planes store carry tags (utm parameters) that tell the destination the visit came from this site. That is the point of a referral source; the tag contains no personal information about you.
Suggest-an-update submissions. If you submit a store correction, we keep what you send, the text and any photo, to review and apply it. Do not include personal information you do not want kept.
Server logs. The hosting platform (Vercel) keeps standard technical logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL) to run and secure the service.
What is not done with it
No data is sold. No advertising profiles are built here. Analytics exists to learn which shops and pages help people, and to show shops that this site sends them customers.
Cookies and local storage
Analytics identifiers from Mixpanel are the only cookies this site sets. Blocking them in your browser does not break the site.
Your choices
Use a content blocker or your browser's tracking protection; the site works fully without analytics. For access or deletion requests relating to analytics data, contact us and we will pass the request to the provider.

Changes
This page is updated when the site's data practices change; the honest current state always lives here.
